Balayage Poway

Balayage in Poway, painted by hand and blended to last.

Gigi Stauder is a licensed San Diego hairstylist who specializes in blended balayage. Her private studio on Poway Road is quiet, unhurried and entirely one-on-one.

What balayage actually is

Balayage comes from the French word for sweeping. Lightener is painted freehand onto the surface of selected sections, so the brightness builds gradually from root to ends and no two heads look alike.

Because there is no foil line, the root stays soft. That is why balayage grows out gracefully and why clients with busy lives love it.

How Gigi approaches it

Every appointment begins with a consultation. Gigi looks at your natural level, previous color, texture and the way you wear your hair, then plans placement around your face and your cut.

Her ten years as a portrait photographer shows up here: she thinks about light, where it falls on a face and where brightness will flatter you most.

Choosing your level and price

Blonde Babe is $209, Blonde Bombshell is $308 and Blonde Barbie starts at $407; Blonde Barbie includes its finishing toner. Base color, a haircut or keratin may be added separately. See the full menu on the services page for toner refresh pricing.

If you are unsure which level fits, book the one closest to your goal and talk it through at consultation, or call 760-521-6336 first.

Questions, answered

How much does balayage cost in Poway at Gigi Balayage?

Blonde Babe is $209, Blonde Bombshell is $308 and Blonde Barbie starts at $407, including Blonde Barbie's finishing toner. Separate toner refreshes, haircuts and other add-ons are listed on the services page.

How often do I need to come back for balayage?

Because the root is blended, many clients return when they want a refresh rather than on a strict schedule. Gigi will suggest an interval for your hair at your appointment.

Can I get balayage if I have dark hair?

Yes. Darker starting points usually need more time and a higher level such as Blonde Barbie. Gigi will tell you honestly what is achievable in one visit.

Is balayage damaging?

Any lightening changes the hair, but careful placement, gentle processing, toning and at-home education all help keep it healthy. Gigi will review aftercare with you.
